My story with essential oils.

When I first started using essential oils, I was skeptical of their benefits.  A friend of mine had suggested I try an oil blend to help with headaches years ago.  I was shocked at how much they helped to relieve my headaches.

Over the years, I’ve tried essential oils for the purpose of relieving seasonal allergies, increasing my energy, and preventing illness in my house.

Recently, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a complex chronic condition with various symptoms that affect the entire body.  I turned to essential oils to help relieve symptoms associated with fibromyalgia.

Although I’m still learning about what all essential oils have to offer, they’ve had such a significant impact on my quality of life and health that I want to share them with as many people as possible.

I am a firm believer in the healing properties of essential oils.  I use them in several different areas of my home-relief from symptoms, cleaning, recipes, and more.  My family and I uses them topically, internally, and aromatic.  In fact, I keep a diffuser in each of our bedrooms, my office and living room.

Essential oils have completely changed the way me and my family care for our health.  I’m so excited to share my love of essential oils with you!

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS AND WHY YOU SHOULD USE THEM?

Essential oils are naturally occurring, aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, leaves, and other parts of the plants. The distillation of these plant parts yields potent, pure essential oils which possess the therapeutic properties of each particular plant.  Essential oils are nature’s front line of difference and can help support the health of our bodies, naturally.  

ONE OF MY FAVORITE OILS IS LAVENDER:

Here are a few of the ways you can benefit from using lavender:

  • Promotes restful sleep.
  • Naturally calms stress and brings on feeling of peace and relaxation.
  • Helps support healthy skin
  • Makes a great, non-toxic air freshener.
  • Soothes sore muscles.

 

The Power of Natural Remedies

The average person applies 300 chemicals to their body every single day.  Most of these come from soap, makeup, cleaning products, fabric softener, air freshener plug-ins, and candles.  You are literally poisoning your family every day with the stuff you can’t pronounce in your home.  Health and safety data only exists for 15% of all the chemicals out there, even though so many of them are known to cause asthma or endocrine disruptions.

Essential oils are a better way.  They are totally chemical free, steam distilled or cold pressed from pure plants.  There’s nothing in them but that one oil, whether it’s lemon, tangerine, lavender, peppermint, or others.

HOW DO YOU USE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Aromatically:
Diffusing essential oils allows us to breathe in the benefits with ever inhale.  Aromatherapy has been used since ancient Egyptian times and continues to be a powerful tool to support breathing, purify the air, and protect us from environmental stress.  Plus, they make your home small amazing.

Topically:
It takes just 26 second for substances applied to skin to enter the blood stream.  By applying essential oils topically, we can immediately impact our health on the cellular level.  As little as a single drop of pure essential oil can benefit well-being.  Oils should be diluted with a carrier oil to avoid skin irritation.

Internally:
Some essential oils can be ingested, as yet another method of use.  When taken as a dietary supplement, the oils’ therapeutic properties are transmitted through the gastrointestinal tract of the body, where they are transmitted to the organs and brain for maximum health  benefits.  Not all oils are safe for internal use, so be sure to read instruction and warnings before ingesting.  

 

 

WHY DO I USE YOUNG LIVING THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OILS?

Essential oils are safe and effective.  Essential oils are toxic free.  They have the power to shift the body spiritually, emotionally and physically.  They can balance chakras.  They can remove blockages-emotionally and physically.  

I believe everyone needs to use oils, have a diffuser and live in a toxic free home.

This means using toxic free laundry detergent, toxic free deodorant, toxic free cleanser, toxic free skin care and makeup, and support your immune system with essential oils and vital nutrients.  

The possibilities are endless when it comes to the applications for essential oils.  

 

 

MY FAVORITE ESSENTIAL OILS

LAVENDER

I love massaging a couple of drops of lavender into the soles of my feet to promote relaxation and restful sleep.  My kids and hubby love it, too.

FRANKINCENSE

This oil is a total powerhouse of endless uses.  My favorite way to use Frankincense is to diffuse it during my morning prayer and Bible study.  It helps induce a feeling of peace and relaxation.

LEMON

The fresh scent of lemon makes a perfect addition to household cleaners. A few drops add its natural disinfectant properties to create a non-toxic environment for your family.

THIEVES

Diffusing this oil blend or ingesting a couple of drops in a veggie cap supports a healthy immune system and protects against environmental threats.  My family loves it!
